These simply beautiful cylindrical mugs are wheel-thrown using Scandi clay.
The colour and texture of the clay and the effect of the glaze is reminiscent of the sand and the tide lapping on the shore, hence the name ‘Tide’.
Perfect for a hyggelig moment with a cup of coffee or a hot chocolate.
And they can go in the dishwasher!

A little bit about the care of handmade pottery
Hand wash verses Dishwasher
Hand washing is always kinder to hand made ceramics, as the harsh chemicals in dishwashers can scratch the glazes over time and make them dull in appearance.
To keep your pottery glazes looking their best I would advise to hand wash where ever possible or alternate between the dishwasher and hand washing.
Thermal Shock
As with all ceramics, avoid thermal shock by not exposing your pottery to rapid temperature changes.
The risk of thermal shock is greater when pottery is large. Always warm teapots or large mugs with a little hot water before filling and
allow freshly boiled water to cool a little before filling your mug.
