Keith Brymer Jones has certainly made an impact in the world of ceramics with his unique, whimsical designs – not to mention his emotional appearances on The Great Pottery Throw Down. His work resonates with many who appreciate both functionality and art, allowing everyday items to become something special. Known for his thoughtful approach and eye for detail, it’s no surprise that his creations have gained a devoted following.
A Milestone Recognition
This year, Keith Brymer Jones is officially being recognised as an iconic figure in the housewares industry. The esteemed Housewares Awards has acknowledged his creativity and innovation, naming his best-selling Word range as a Finalist in the Icon category.
Here at Hygge, we love Keith’s Word range of bucket mugs, espresso cups and we particularly love the little milk jugs. Every single prototype is handthrown by Keith on his potter’s wheel and handstamped before going into production. Our favourites so far have included the giftboxed pair of ‘love’ mugs, and the 50ml ‘milk’ jugs that hold just enough for one.

We orignally started stocking Keith’s products when we saw his ‘cwtch’ bucket mugs. Because cwtch is, in our opinion, the closest things to hygge here in the UK, and having lived in Wales before returning to Hampshire, we wanted to hold on to a little bit of that ‘Welshness’ (is that even a word?) as it means so much more than just a very special kind of hug.
The Word bucket mugs make the perfect gift, whether it’s for the ‘coffee lover’, a ‘yummy mummy’ or just to say ‘good morning!’.
